Connor Mockett Storm Chaser

Join us on Saturday, November 21, 2026 from 1-3pm at the Carleton Place Public Library when Connor Mockett–storm chaser, weather forecaster and photographer–shares an interesting afternoon with us! If you’ve been on local social media channels in the past year or so, you’ve likely seen his weather forecasts which have grown into an informative YouTube channel called Canadian Weather Live along with fellow weather enthusiast Tom Smetana.
If you’re passionate about weather, or if you’d just like to know how potential storms might affect our region, Connor is now the go-to person we all seem to watch and recommend to friends. He’ll be joining us at the library to talk about how he got started in weather forecasting, why he decided to start taking photos that now become part of a yearly calendar, and maybe he’ll even share a few stories about storm chasing in the Ottawa Valley and beyond. It’s certainly been a wild year for weather and with winter coming, we know you’d like to hear what we could expect.
Spaces are limited, so please make sure to register now!
